An anime series of the Blokyverse · Future Era · Salvage to Arcoral

The Angelof Noise

ノイズの天使 · working title

A fossil woke up in a scrapyard. A girl was there because her chip cracked. A repairman was there because that is where broken things go. This is who is on the road.

One era, the last before the descendants choose what to become. Two faiths, the Temple of the Blok and the Order of the Cog, and neither of them is right. One question the series will never answer, because the Blokyverse holds that if either faith is ever proven right, the Blokyz end. Below: the three who walk, and the two whose records are sealed. Every portrait here is the series’ own concept art, drawn from the official token for that piece.

IThe Cast

Three kindsof not found

A memory that will not load. A citizen the network dropped. A craftsman the record never named. All three phrases come from the tokens' own official descriptions.

Niji

404 · he · age unknown
Space fossils of beings that were once Blokyz. Their proportions suggest most modern Blokyz are descended from them. How they came to be out there has never been answered.Blokyz — Sleepers of the Forgotten era

One of seventy-nine. The only one anyone has seen stand up. He does not know how he came to be in space, because canon says no one does, and he is included in no one. He is not looking for the answer. He is looking for the other Sleepers, before they are cut up for material or prayed to until they crack. Each time he goes Offline he wakes with a little less of himself. That is the only clock the series needs.

Kess

KESS · she · nineteen
They live inside the network and treat their bodies as somewhere to return to. In an era where the bureaucracy runs itself, they are the ones who never left the machine.Blokyz — the Netizens of the Neocity

She was one of those. Then the chip that held her cracked, and the network dropped her. A body with, by her own people's standards, nobody home. For the first time in her life she is stuck outside, in the dust, in a scavenger's patched jumpsuit, digging through Salvage for a chip that still works. She finds a fossil instead. Her reaction to a Sleeper waking up is ugh. Everyone else who meets him wants something from him. She wants a working chip and he was in the way. Her name was longer. She shortened it herself.

Smith

They provide the general refinement that keeps this era comfortable for everyone. Most of what an ordinary Blokyz relies on daily was built by one of them and credited to nobody.Blokyz — the Bot Smiths of the Neocity

Lowest tier of the Order. The repairman. He is the technician who processes what comes into bay 05: cracked chips, dead bodies, the occasional relic. He is not a bad man. He has a queue. The red gem at his throat is his faith, worn as a sigil the way canon says faith is worn. He sees Niji and sees a corrupted signal, a clear diagnosis, a fix he could do in a week. He is right about her and wrong about him. The first time he cleans the static all the way, the picture underneath is nothing. He puts the tools down.

On the road

cloak · satchel · stone sword

The token has no clothing and nothing in hand, because relics do not dress. The cloak with the sigils neither faith can read, the satchel, the crude stone sword held low: those belong to the series. This sheet is an AI-assisted fan concept used to lock the look. For the series itself, every frame is drawn by hand, because the Blokyverse ships nothing generated.

IIRecord Sealed

Two moreon the road

Their records exist. They are not, at present, available to the public.

RECORD SEALED
The collector · faith not shown

The one who came for the sleeping ones

it · bay 05

Tall, cloaked, cube-headed. It was lifting a blank Sleeper head out of the heap when Niji woke. When its own head came off, it bled the same colour the Sleepers carry. The series does not say why for a long time. Neither does this page.

RECORD SEALED
One of the Enduring · canon

The one who might recognise him

they · walking since the Prehistoric dawn
It is whispered that the Enduring are the last living thread back to the Forgotten Years. They do not give it. Perhaps they cannot. The Long Record — docs.blokyz.com

Glimpsed rarely. Awake the whole time he was asleep. The only one who might know his face. Says nothing. Two keepers of the question, passing on the road.

IIIThe Shape

What kindof story this is

One era

The Future, the last stop before the Far Future's three possible ends. Relics are already being used as material. The Forgotten Years are never shown. He persists forward, like any relic. The road runs one way.

Two faiths

The Temple sees an angel and wants to keep the rainbow. The Order sees a signal and wants it cleaned. Clean the noise and there is no colour. Keep only the colour and there is no message. Neither is right. Neither is the villain.

One question

How the Blokyz began. He is the one who could answer it and the memory returns not found. The series never answers it either. In the last frame the static clears. We are not shown what he saw.

Still looking. Still here.
